With fifteen years as a trainer, and over twenty years as a designer, illustrator and digital imaging specialist, I offer you the strength of experience and the relevance of current application.
I established my own design studio in the late 80’s, delivering a wide range of print based advertising and marketing communications – identity work, advertising, brochures, and print collateral.
As hardware developed in the 90’s, Photoshop came on the scene and digital imaging started to move in-house. This fitted well with my interests, and I began to concentrate on technical and
infographic illustration; photographic retouching and compositing, and computer generated imagery (CGI). This forms the majority of my studio work today.
In the late 90’s I was hired by the University of Greenwich as an occasional tutor in CGI – an experience that opened my eyes to the opportunities of commercial training. Over the next few years I started to develop my training work, alongside my studio. Photoshop was now a key component in any studio and was soon added to my training portfolio.
The year 2000 saw a move to the midlands, followed by associations with Adobe authorised training providers such as NTI at Birmingham City University, Coventry University and others.
I became an Adobe Certified Instructor in early 2007, adding Illustrator and After Effects to my certification portfolio in subsequent years, and have maintained constant and current certification since.
